It's been awhile since we have seen teen heartthrob Joey Lawrence on the red carpet but he certainly shocked fans when he made an appearance a the 2015 People's Choice Awards.

The Melissa & Joey actor not only sported a combover (he's been rocking the shaved head for the last few years), but also looked extremely tan, much more than what we are used to seeing. His eyebrows were also flawless and his skin was completely free of wrinkles.

Lawrence broke down his new look with Arienne Thompson of USA Today.

"It was really growing for awhile, and then I shaved it off. Then everybody thought I was bald. Which is not true. It's not as thick as it was, but being 38, the fact that I still have hair is pretty cool." He added, "Then I sort of grew it back."

Even though this look attracted lots of turned heads, he went on to say that it is very possible he could switch it up again.

"I might look back on this and hate it. But right now, I've always loved the shaved thing...the sides shaved. I grow it out on the top. We're just trying. I've been doing this a long time. I've been doing this 33 years so... You gotta mix it up somehow."

The Brotherly Love star went on to say that he is trying to "grow it out" but it is definitely in a "weird" phase right now.

But all is not lost.

"If I hate it then I can just shave it off."
