After years of sporting long hair, the former reality star, who has appeared on Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWoww, removed her extensions and opted for a shorter style.

On Wednesday, Polizzi shared a photo of her hair on Instagram, telling fans, "NEW YEAR - new me." In the photo, Polizzi, with her hairstylists standing behind her, was seen with a short bob.

Polizzi began appearing on Jersey Shore in 2009. After six seasons on the reality series, Polizzi, along with costar Jenni "JWoww" Farley, went on to star in a spinoff, which was titled Snooki & JWoww, and was filmed in New Jersey.

Earlier this week, the UK's Daily Mail reported Polizzi had hinted that Snooki & JWoww was scripted in her new book, Baby Bumps: From Party Girl To Proud Mama And All The Messy Milestones.

"You should have seen [MTV producers'] faces when I told them I was pregnant!" she said. "They were like, 'Get me re-write, ASAP!' I felt for them. It would be hard to make the show fun … I had to give the producers credit for rolling with the punches."

As for her new hair, Polizzi is "loving" her new cut.

"I went back to dark & short thanks boos!! @bradleystylenyc @lulu2038," she said, adding, "LOVING this. So much easier to maintain and my kids won't have anything to hang off of anymore."

Snooki & JWoww airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on MTV.
