Kim Kardashian might have shut down speculation that she and Kanye West are heading for a divorce, but new reports have claimed that is why Kardashian is pushing to have a second child, in order to keep her marriage together.

An insider told In Touch Weekly Wednesday, "Kim doesn't want to be dragged to court. Kanye loves North so much she knows her plan to have another baby to keep him from ending their sham of a marriage will work."

However, her alleged ploy does not seem to be as effective as she hoped. For starters, West is rarely at home so the two don't have many opportunities to try for baby no. 2. Still, Kardashian isn't giving up.

A separate source confirmed, "Kim is determined to have another child because she knows Kanye wouldn't leave her if she's pregnant. It's kind of sad, but that's how Kim thinks."

Still, a third insider claimed that the above report is "totally wrong."

Whatever the case, one thing is clear. Kardashian and West are indeed trying to have another baby. They are parents to one-year-old North West.

"It's been more challenging to get pregnant the second time around. When you're not planning it, it happens. It's just how God works. And when you want it so bad, it's not happening."

A sneak peek of the upcoming season of E!'s Keeping Up With The Kardashians also confirms that Kardashian and West want to conceive baby no. 2 sooner than later.
