For days now producer Christopher King and director James Hawes have been teasing some elaborate behind-the-scenes prep for the Showtime series, but on Thursday King jumped on Twitter and revealed exactly who will be taking part in the epic sequence.

Important Scene Bringing Everyone Together On 'Penny Dreadful'?

This means Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney), Ferdinand Lyle (Russell Beale), Evelyn Poole (Helen McCrory), and Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) will all but in one room together. But why? Perhaps for Dorain's lavish party? Hawes told fans on Twitter Jan. 16 that they would be shooting a 21-minute scene this week and continued to dish on the details when he posted photos from Dorian's home on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The scene could be pivotal in revealing why Helen is after Vanessa. Based on Helen's flirtatious encounter with Sir Malcolm during season 1, she might just use him to get to Vanessa through a mutual social gathering, such as this party.
