Hannibal isn't about to let its fans starve for news. Following an outpouring of casting announcements, the NBC series has snagged a True Blood alum for a season 3 role.

Rutina Wesley will play Reba McClane in the second half of season 3, according to TV Line.
Reba represents a major hinge in the Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage) storyline. A blind woman from Thomas Harris' Red Dragon, Reba will become to object of the Tooth Fairy's affections.
Along with Wesley and The Hobbit's Armitage, Fortunato Cerlino will take on the role of Inspector Pazzi, Joe Anderon will replace Michael Pitt as the deformed Mason Verger, and Nina Arianda will join the cast as Molly Graham.
Set to return to NBC this summer, the first half of season 3 will focus on Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) and Dr. Lecter's (Mads Mikkelsen) European vacation as the profiler works to track down the canabalistic fugitive following the events of "Mizumono." Starting in episode 8, the story will catapult forward several years in order to take on the problem of Mr. Dolarhyde.
