Actress Mindy Kaling attended that Sundance Film Festival this week and she opened up about the sexism in Hollywood.

The star studded event was hosted in Park City, Utah over the weekend and she spoke a lot about how she remains relevant in the entertainment industry.

The Mindy Project actress gathered for a panel called Power of Story: Serious ladies. Kaling, along with Lena Dunham, Kristen Wiig, and Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan, sat down to chat about their experiences working in the television and film industries.

On Monday, Time reported that the topics of conversation included body image, reproductive rights, campus sexual assault and much more.

"I have a personality defect where I sort of refuse to see myself as an underdog," the Mindy Project actress said. "It has gotten me into a lot of trouble but it is also the reason for my success. I am often reminded of it when people ask me why I'm confident... Why wouldn't I be?"

Kaling's confidence and selflessness didn't come easy. During the discussion, she talked about her parents and how they raised her, and why she is able to overcome obstacles and remain successful in a male dominated industry.

"It's because my parents raised me with the entitlement of a tall, blond, white man. That's the way to do it: Picture yourself as Armie Hammer on the outside."
