‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Search For A Missing Sonny & Ava Begins As Kiki And Carly Both Receive The Shocking News
Sonny (Maurice Benard) managed to be a hero at the last minute, saving Michael (Chad Duell) and everyone else aboard the Haunted Star from certain death by grabbing the planted bomb and plunging overboard-but now, concern for his own safety and well-being is at an all-time high on General Hospital.
An Unlikely Hero Emerges On The Haunted Star
Nathan (Ryan Paevy) began a search and rescue effort to see if Sonny has survived the explosion, and to find if his body could be recovered from the water, but has had no luck-and now, Michael will have to deliver the devastating news to Carly (Laura Wright) that Sonny could be gone forever.
"Look me in the eyes, and just take a deep breath," Michael says to his mother in a preview clip for the Thursday, Feb. 5 episode.

"Why?" Carly asks with tears in her eyes.
Carly will be devastated when she learns that Sonny could possibly be dead, as she hasn't been able to see him since he banned her from visiting him in prison. However, his potential death could have the affect he hoped the ban would, and cause Carly and Michael to mend the problems that were between them and fix their strained relationship.
Meanwhile, Sonny isn't the only person who is missing and potentially presumed dead. Following the Pentonville escape ambush by Johnny (Brandon Barash) and Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), Ava (Maura West) wound up shot-and eventually went overboard and off of a bridge. Now, Kiki (Kristen Alderson) and Morgan (Bryan Craig) will learn that they may need to take care of baby Avery for other reasons besides both her parents being in jail-as they could also both be dead.
"Did something happen to my mother?" Kiki asks Agent Sloane (Grayson McCouch) in the clip.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
