If you thought a normal long-distance relationship was difficult, try being famous and having a long-distance marriage. With This Ring actress Gabrielle Union revealed the struggle she and husband Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade have in living in two separate parts of the country as newlyweds.

Wade and Union tied the knot back in August of 2014. But for the most part they still don't live in the same state for the most part. She stays in Atlanta during the week to tape BET's hit series Being Mary Jane, while Wade is in Miami.

She told Matt Lauer of The Today Show Thursday they have found a solution that suits everyone.

"I come home every weekend. I fly back and forth. I fly wherever that is or I'll fly home and hang out with the kids. We figure it out and make it work and a lot of compromise."

Still, despite the distance Union and Wade definitely know how to keep the romance spicy. While speaking to Kathy Lee and Hoda on Today, she also opened up about how she fell in love with Wade.She revealed they met one another when they were co-hosting a Super Bowl party. She confessed that their love was not "instant" because she was actually dating someone else. But she eventually found out they were meant to be when they "became best friends."

"I don't wanna be on this planet without you. I don't wanna do anything that you're not apart of."
