Another top football player has reportedly been asked to compete in season 20 of ABC's Dancing With the Stars and it's a very familiar face to New England Patriots fans.

Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler has apparently been offered a spot on Dancing With the Stars next season according to a new report by HollywoodLife. Not only that, he allegedly wants to do it.

"The producers have reached out and have asked Malcolm to be a part of the upcoming show's season," an insider told the publication. "He really wants to do it but will make his final decision after talking to the higher ups in the Patriots organization because they may not want him to risk injury in the off season. If that happened it could cost him millions and his day job."

Butler is fresh off a game-winning interception against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, securing the fourth New England Patriots victory at the big game. Dancing With the Stars often recruits athletes who have excelled in the past including former NFL players like Donald Driver and Olympic ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White.

Athletes have a proven track record on Dancing With the Stars and he could benefit from the public vote if his fans come out and support him.

Either way, Dancing With the Stars will announce the celebrities competing on season 20 on Tuesday, Feb. 24 on ABC's Good Morning America.

Dancing With the Stars season 20 is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
