One of the biggest music sensations of all time is going to be making her way onto the ABC series Nashville.

Chatter On The Rayna-Luke Drama On 'Nashville'

On Friday, The Wrap announced that superstar Christina Aguilera will be guest starring on Nashville for a whole three episodes. She will be playing a character named Jade St. John, a pop star who travels to the Tennessee city as she tries to be part of the country music world.

Aguilera is one of the most popular singers of the generation with hits like "Candy Man," "Your Body" and her breakthrough hit "Genie in a Bottle." She was also in the film Burlesque alongside Cher where they both showed off their acting and singing skills.

It wasn't mentioned if Aguilera would be making any connections with any of the main characters on the music series or not, but if she's there for three episodes, she'll likely make an impact on someone.

In a previous interview with TV Line, Laura Benanti (Sadie) mentioned that her character is struggling to get over the abusive relationship she had with Pete.

"The shame, the fear, the shock, and the being thrust back into a life she had left, at first that takes over," the actress said. "She, like many would, retreats and feels the embarrassment and the shame that can often accompany a horrific act like that. And then slowly starts to come back to life and realizes that she has to handle this properly."

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
