'Avengers 2' Mark Ruffalo On Banner's 'Begrudging' Transition From Hulk, Does He Want To Stay In Hulk Form?

The former gun for hire has become one of SHIELD's and the Avenger's most powerful weapons, but the upcoming Avengers sequel will dig into a time that was less than happy for Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson). Agent Carter kicked off the investigation into the Black widow program with Dottie and it looks like Age of Ultron will bring it into the modern day.

She has a rich, rich past," Johansson said, according to TV3. "She definitely comes from a really dark past, she's had to de-sensitize or de-humanize in way to be able to do and see some of the things she's seen and participated in willingly...It's hitting her now that she's been acting as a gun for hire, and in doing that she's never really made any active choices."

CinemaBlend believes that Scarlett Witch's powers may serve to toss Earth's Mightiest Heroes into their darkest memories. If this is true, viewers will dive into the minds of more than just one Avenger.

"I think these characters have pretty, kind of, sordid pasts and it's about time that those pasts kind of came back to us in one way or another," Johansson teased, according to Total Film. "So I think you'll get to really learn a bit about, perhaps, the demons that these characters individually grapple with."
