Tim McGraw Says One Show Makes Him Very 'Nervous'

According to People on Monday, McGraw's haunting performance of Glen Campbell's Oscar-nominated I'm Not Gonna Miss You has caused quite a stir on Google.

Online searches for Campbell have gone up over 211 times, making him the most-searched individual following the award show in Sunday night.

Though the song did not win an Oscar, McGraw was honored to be there on behalf of the 78-year-old country legend.

In 2011 Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and decided to launch a final tour while he was still capable of performing. This tour was chronicled in the documentary Glen Campbell, I'll Be Me.

Though Campbell's wife, Kim, was in attendance at the Oscars on Sunday, the singer himself was unable to perform as a result of his advancing Alzheimer's. Recently he was moved into a memory care facility. According to his wife, Campbell has "declined quite a bit" cognitively, though he remains "content and jovial" whenever he is with the family.

A husband and a father himself, McGraw deeply respects Campbell's legacy and worked hard to ensure that he honored the country star with his performance.

On Sunday McGraw admitted to E! that the Oscars did in fact make her "nervous."

"It's such a big event and there's so many great people out here," he explained. "And this is a pretty special song. To be asked to do this, and be at this, and with Glen and the legacy he's left in music, it's pretty special."
