Big Sean can't seem to keep quiet when it comes to gushing about his romance with singer Ariana Grande.

His appearance on The Real that aired Wednesday was no different. This time around, he dished on what made him fall in love with Grande.

He said they "started out as friends" but it "progressed from there."

"That's the first time I've been in the situation."

As far as what made Grande stand out from other women, Big Sean said it was her "drive."

"I like when women have drive, when they have focus. That's what I attach to. That's what I appreciate. Because I have drive, I have focus."

Big Sean promoted his newest album Dark Sky Paradise. He said this album definitely reveals what he was going through during the time he wrote the songs.

"Even past relationships to just family to just going out with friends. Just whole situations that everyone goes through."

He switched it up this album and for the first time he made it from a studio he had built in his home. The Research rapper said it helped him when he had an idea in the middle of the night, to be able to go to the studio and cut it.

His newest single Blessings features his mentor Kanye West and fellow rapper Drake.

"Those are my homies. Kanye is like my big bro. Drake is another one of my friends. Working on an album, you hit up your friends who you wanna work with."

Grande is also on the album.
