Claire and Jamie might just be getting involved with the war on Outlander this season.

The historically inclined sci-fi drama, adapted from the hit books by Diana Gabaldon, will continue to follow Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) as they get into more trouble with the British.

On Wednesday Variety released new posters for the series, the first of which showed a fierce Claire brandishing a knife against Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), Jamie close at her side.

Ray Velcoro's Loyalties Will Be Tested On 'True Detective'?

The second poster showed the opposite perspective with Jack brandishing sword against Claire's knife.

During the first half of the season Claire realized that Jamie's family was preparing to get involved with a war they would not win, but knew not how to convince them of her knowledge of the future.

So will she be joining their cause and uniting the people? Will Claire subsequently change the course of history?

The series will be taking a closer look at the poor Scottish countryside as it approaches its second season.

On Wednesday STV Glawsgow announced a casting call for the program. Apparently Starz is seeking "slim" men and women between the ages of 17 and 70 with "natural" hair to film in Cumbernauld in Scotland. The description suggests that these extras will serve as the less fortunate inhabitants of rural areas, which means Claire will likely see more of the war than she would like.

Outlander will return on Starz for the remainder of its first season on Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
