Fans can expect a lot to happen when Outlander returns to Starz with episode 9 in just one month.

Things Heat Up Between Claire & Jamie On 'Outlander'

According to producer and writer Matt Roberts on Twitter March 5, the show's return will be a whirlwind of emotions.

Roberts also included some different terrified, surprised, sad, and smiley faces. So is he referring to the emotions fans will feel while watching, or those which Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will endure?

Either way, it looks like the program will be returning this year with even more action and chaos than before. All the new posters and previews suggest even higher stakes moving forward and these stakes are undoubtably tied to the "emotions" which Roberts referred to.

Claire may have found a rare ally in Jamie, but her troubles are far from over. She's still at war with evils in Jamie's time, plus she is still uncertain as to whether or not she will ever be able to return to her former life.

Claire came very close to reaching her husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies) during the first half of the season. Unfortunately she's been busy battling good-hearted Frank's ruthless relation, Jack, who seems convinced that she is some kind of spy.

Outlander will return on Starz for the remainder of its first season on Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
