New details have been released on Christina Aguilera's appearance on Nashville that will come with some unfortunate yet possibly romantic results.

On Tuesday, E! News announced that Aguilera will play Jade- a pop star who tries to make her way into the country world only to be shot down by Juliette Barnes. This will not be an easy battle for Jade; in fact, there will be a moment where she might feel shattered as she lets out some tears.

But things won't stay so sad for Jade when Luke Wheeler comes along and makes her feel better. Does this mean that these two are about to share some kind of passion? The site didn't say it was official, but it does sound pretty likely.

In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aguilera mentioned that her character on the ABC drama will try to follow her dreams although there's something else she's going to have to consider- doing what others want her to do.

"I can say that my character is a successful pop singer who desperately wants to move into the country world, as that is her true passion," the singer said. "But she is caught between her passion and what the label wants her to do."

This might be connected to Luke since he might want her to follow the label. Or perhaps, he might want her to do what she really wants.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
