Fans of the hit Disney channel Austin & Ally are about to receive some unfortunate news.

'Girl Meets World' Series Premiere Chatter

Raini Rodriguez, who plays Trish on the series, confirmed that the fourth season on the series will be its last.

In an interview with Variety posted on Thursday, the actress dished on her directorial debut for the series where she announced that an ending for the sitcom will be happening.

"Directing has been something I've wanted to do for a long time, and we are in our last season of Austin & Ally," Rodriguez said. "It made sense to make my directorial debut on a show I know so well. I've been on this set for four years, so the cast and crew have become my second family. They all support me and want me to succeed, so it's the perfect place for me to get my start."

The actress then talked about how exciting it is to be able to step behind the camera and be in charge.

"I love being able to not only tell the story from an actor's point of view, but also from a director's point of view," Rodrguez said. "As the director, you're in charge of everything from camera angles to what kind of socks this character would wear. It's so much fun."

Even though the series is ending, the site pointed out that the actress can at least add directing on her resume.

Austin & Ally is expected to return on Saturday, March 28 on the Disney channel.
