In a recent interview, director James Wan, spoke about filming Furious 7 without Paul Walker, revealing that it was probably hardest on Jordana Breswter.

Furious 8 To Be Set In New York City?

Brewster plays Walker's character Brian O'Connor's lover, Mia Toretto, in the films, so we can see how it could have been way more emotionally taxing for her as she might have to do initimate scenes which involved a lot of affection. "It was a tough one for Jordana, for her to try to do the dialogue with him and he's no longer there - it was just so hard," he said. In the interview with BuzzFeed, the director specifically spoke about scenes she had to do with people filling, particularly Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb, in for him.

"I think Jordana was the most emotional through it all," he said. "It was doubly surreal when she had to do her scenes with Cody or Caleb, or with John, but pretend that it's Paul. That was a tricky one for me to direct, because I had to be very sensitive to that and just help her along and just try to get her in the right mindset."

Recently, Wan also spoke to Vulture

"I didn't set out to do it this way," Wan said. "Furious 7 has become, for obvious reasons, a very melancholy movie. But I realize that my other films are like that, too. Death Sentence is very much like that. I'm a guy that makes sad action films."

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
