Back in February, Steven R. McQueen departed from the show as Jeremy and then on Monday, Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena, divulged she's leaving the hit supernatural series once this current sixth season comes to an end.

Joining McQueen and Dobrev in leaving The Vampire Diaries is Michael Trevino otherwise known as the handsome and stubborn Tyler Lockwood on the series.

Trevino was with Dobrev and others from the series over the weekend for their lake getaway, which Dobrev confirmed, "was a goodbye party" in her open letter to TVD fans on Instagram.

Trevino also shared a couple of pictures from their weekend on the lake, including one of him with Dobrev.

The series creator Julie Plec released a statement, which Entertainment Weekly shared Monday night after Dobrev's announcement of her departure, in which she touched on Trevino leaving too.

"Michael has been a beloved member of The Vampire Diaries family since day one," Plec shared, adding, "Even though he's also going to be out in the world exploring new opportunities, we look forward to finding creative ways to make sure he and his character Tyler Lockwood always remain a part of the show."

So regardless of Trevino moving on to explore other acting projects, it sounds like he still has a home with the rest of TVD cast in Georgia.

Catch The Vampire Diaries on Thursdays on The CW at 8 p.m. ET.

The series returns with new episodes starting April 16.
