He managed to successfully win custody of his sister by calling in a favor and getting a judge partial to him on the bench, but Michael (Chad Duell) could soon find himself losing the overall battle for Avery/AJ after all on General Hospital.

A Surprising Twist Changes The Custody Battle

Since his win, and previous gloating claims that Morgan (Bryan Craig), Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) would never get to see her again, Michael has begun drinking a bit more heavily, and has even pawned his sister off on Sabrina (Teresa Castillo), who he hired as a nanny. His decisions have been increasingly unpopular with those he stole Avery away from, and have caused them to swear revenge by getting her taken back from him once again.

Now, after successfully switching his allergy pills with something else and coaxing him into drinking a bit too much at the Metro Court, Kiki and Morgan's plan to make Michael seem like an unfit guardian may be working-especially when Michael sees Sonny near Avery's stroller.

The Custody Battle Heats Up

"Step away from the stroller!" he drunkenly slurs in a preview clip for the Wednesday, April 8 episode.

While in this state, Michael could make a huge mistake and try to accost Sonny-and it could be the exact kind of mistake needed to cause him to lose the baby he fought for.

However, even as he makes a mistake, Kiki could be now regretting egging on Michael's bad behavior like she has been. Before he headed downstairs and ran into Sonny, Michael confronted her and Morgan, and belittled her for being back with him, despite saying she would never forgive him for the things he had done to Michael. Now, remembering how deeply she felt for Michael, she could be regretting trying to hurt him.

"Do you still have feelings for my brother?" Morgan asks her in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
