She hasn't been able to fight for custody of her daughter because she is presumed dead, but Ava (Maura West) may risk everything to try and save Avery before it's too late on General Hospital.

Michael Makes A Costly Mistake

Ava is unable to be a mother to Avery because her death was faked so she could remain out of prison for Connie's murder-but unfortunately for her, she is actually dying from cancer. Because of all of this, Silas (Michael Easton) has been keeping her locked away in New York City, and Ava was forced to watch as Michael (Chad Duell) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) fought over her daughter-with Michael eventually being declared victor.

However, after the video showing a drunken Michael accidentally tipping Avery's stroller over airs on Access Port Charles, Ava will become insistent that she get to see her daughter again one last time-so she can ensure she remains safe from the men who won't be able to provide her with a stable life.

A Surprising Twist Changes The Custody Battle Outcome

"I need to get out of here," she says to Silas in a preview clip for the Thursday, April 9 episode.

Meanwhile, in Port Charles itself, she isn't the only one disturbed by the video that aired. Carly (Laura Wright) will see if as well, and be stunned when she sees what happens with her son.

"Oh God," she says.

Sonny, meanwhile, will begin wondering aloud to Morgan (Bryan Craig) who taped the whole incident and took advantage of a private and painful family situation-unaware that his other son is the one who set the whole incident up.

"Who the hell would take advantage of a situation like that?" Sonny asks a guilty looking Morgan in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
