There is no doubt that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are over the moon right now as they continue to celebrate the birth of their son, Israel David. Duggar gave birth to her over 9-pound bundle of joy earlier this week after being late almost two weeks after her due date.

Father Derick Dillard 'Over The Moon' About His Newborn Son

According to OK! Magazine on Thursday, there's a special reason why the couple gave their first-born child the name Israel. The couple visited the country on several different occasions and it's also where Dillard bought his engagement ring for his wife. The name also means "God will prevail."

Meanwhile, Duggar has admitted that her son's birth "didn't go as planned" for her. The reality television star admits that she didn't want to give birth at a medical facility, but ultimately made the decision to get induced during her 42nd week of her pregnancy as her newborn baby simply didn't want to come out on his own.

According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, Duggar and Dillard welcomed their son late on Monday night. The couple shared a video from her hospital bed explaining exactly what went down in the delivery room.

Dillard began by saying, "Hey everybody, it's Derick and Jill Dillard, and we've got an exciting birth announcement. Not everything went as expected. We were reminded of the verse that the Bible talks about where man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps. We were encouraged by that and yeah, he's just a handsome little fellow."
