Despite being the lead actress of the series, Taylor Schilling recently admitted that she still hasn't watched Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on the series, spoke with ET Canada about how she has yet to see the series in which she stars.

"I actually have not watched the show yet," Schilling admitted. "My plan going into shooting the next season is to make sure and watch 1, 2 and 3, so I have a lot of television watching to do."

While this may seem shocking to some, many actors and actresses choose not to watch their own work. Even legendary actress Jessica Lange admitted back in 2013 that she does not watch FX's American Horror Story, because she doesn't look back on her work.

Regardless, Schilling added that taking the role of Piper in the prison "dramedy" is leading to some exciting career prospects for her.

"The thing that's most exciting right now is that it feels like there is more opportunities for me to do work and be involved with projects that I'm excited about," she said.

The actress has been nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on the show and has warned back-to-back Golden Globe nominations as well. She and her cast won the Best Comedy Ensemble award at the SAG Awards earlier this year as well.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 is slated to be released on Friday, June 12 on Netflix.
