The highly anticipated upcoming Chicago P.D. crossover with Chicago Fire and Law & Order: SVU will seriously hurt one of the characters on NBC's Illinois based police procedural.

New Details On The 'Very Personal' Cross-Over Episode Revealed

According to TV Guide, one member of the P.D. team won't make it out of the upcoming three-hour event alive, and Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) will be hit the hardest when the person's death is revealed.

The highly anticipated crossover begins when a murderer (Dallas Roberts) who's been at it for ten years resurfaces, a manhunt will unite all of the shows in both Chicago and New York--and ends with Lindsay questioning her role as a detective after a shocking death.

Jason Beghe DIshes On Possibility Of 'Chicago Med'

"[The death] rocks Lindsay to the extent that at the end of the season, she's looking at her detective shield wondering if she wants to continue being a detective or if she's going to hand that over and take the easy way out," executive producer Matt Olmstead said.

And while the death won't rock Halstead (Jesse Soffer) in quite the same way, he will also have a hard time with the case when his brother, Will (Nick Gehlfuss) gets caught up in the crosshairs.

"His brother Will lived in New York and strangely enough, the timeline of the crimes fits when he was in New York and Chicago," Olmstead added. "So he gets in the cross-hairs, which really rocks Halstead."

The special three-hour event airs on NBC April 28 and 29.
