Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have time and time again caused confusion and speculation about whether or not they have tied the knot yet.

The couple welcomed their daughter Wyatt Isabelle in October of last year and in January of this year Kutcher caused a bit of a frenzy when he shared a photo on his Facebook, in which he wrote in the sand on a beach: "Happy New Year <3 The Kutchers".

It seemed as though that was the confirmation needed that he and Kunis got married in secret, but the new mom has been very vague and coy during her few TV appearances, which has made the wonderment about their marital status all the more intriguing.

The Jupiter Ascending star appeared on the premiere night of CBS' The Late Late Show with James Corden last month, in which Corden asked if she and Kutcher are married to which she replied "Maybe."

The British host got Kunis to show off her wedding ring finger, which was adorned with what appeared to be a wedding band, but the couple apparently is not actually married yet after all of this teasing and speculation.

Hollywood Life reported last Wednesday via OK! magazine's April 27 issue that the couple is not officially married yet.

Kunis has apparently put their mothers in charge of their upcoming private wedding ceremony.

"They don't want more than about 40 guests," a source dished, while adding, "Mila's letting Ashton's mom, Diane, and her own mother, Elvira, do a far bit of the planning. She knows how much they enjoy it and likes that they can bond over some ideas."

The new mom has apparently given her mother and future mother-in-law "strict instructions" about the impending nuptials.

Going "overboard" is not an option even though they have a budget of $600,000.

"A huge Hollywood part isn't in the cards for them," the source revealed.
