Last week former NFL star Aaron Hernandez was found guilty on first-degree murder charges and now he is facing life in prison. After being convicted of murdering his friend Odin Lloyd, Hernandez was transported to MCI Cedar Junction in Massachusetts but apparently he won't be there for long.

On Thursday, TMZ Sports reported that the former Patriots player was placed on suicide watch until he is transferred to his permanent prison.

According to the site, Hernandez has been isolated from all the other inmates not only for his own protection, but also so officials can evaluate him and to determine where he will stay when he is transferred to the maximum-security facility.

The suicide watch is said to be a normal procedure for someone who was recently sentenced to life in prison so apparently the news comes as no surprise.

While the trial may be over, Hernandez is still facing more charges from a double murder that took place back in 2012.

Last week CNN reported that Hernandez could possibly face three more trials, one criminal and two civil actions.

Prosecutors believe that back in 2012, Hernandez fatally shot Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado when he shot into their 2003 BMW. Another passenger in the vehicle was wounded and two others were uninjured.

According to the site Hernandez is also being sued by a man named Alexander Bradley, who claims the former athlete shot him while the two men were in a limousine back in February of 2013.

Allegedly the defense is prepping to appeal the judges ruling for the first case, so be sure to check in for more updates.
