MTV's latest thriller Eye Candy had the misfortune of being canceled after only one season and fans don't seem to be having it.

What Were The Odds For An 'Eye Candy' Renewal?

There is a petition for a second season going on right now that people can sign to help boost the chances of a renewal. As of Tuesday, there are more than 16,000 signatures with a goal at 25,000.

While this petition does not guarantee anything, it still doesn't hurt to try it out. There is a good chance that the series may stay canceled, but if there are enough signatures, perhaps, MTV might reconsider.

Viewers Can Sign Petition To Help Bring 'Eye Candy' Back

Last weekend, the show's leading actress Victoria Justice took to social media to let audiences know that the show will not be returning for new episodes.

"Hi everyone! I wanted you guys to hear it from me first, that the cast and I received news that Eye Candy will not be returning for Season 2," she wrote. "Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson, is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart."

Odds are likely that viewers are not happy about this cancellation since the last episode was left on a big cliffhanger. It was revealed that Lindy's sister had staged her kidnapping and said "Lindy will be safe" with no closure on what that meant. There is also the matter of the Lindy-Tommy relationship and if that was ever going to go anywhere.
