Back in January, British actress Sophie Turner, who is known for her role of Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, got cast in X-Men: Apocalypse as Jean Grey.

Then, in March, another casting decision was made, in which newcomer Lana Condor landed the role of Jubilee.

Singer "officially" welcomed the "newest mutant."

The film is officially filming right now in Montreal, Canada and the director teased a photo of the two mutants together on set via his Instagram on Thursday, which can be seen above. "Fun second day," Singer captioned the picture as the two mutants wore clothing that's straight out of the 1980s. The movie is supposedly going to take place partly in the year 1983 so their clothing is fitting. Plus, Jubilee will be seen wearing her signature yellow jacket since Condor is wearing it in the snap alongside her costar. This photo comes days after Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee teased an official shot of himself as Nightcrawler. He's also channeling fashion choices that were popular during the '80s.

The movie is due to release in May of next year, but hopefully more photos of the younger versions of the mutants will be revealed as filming continues.
