The former NFL star apparently is struggling financially since his high-priced 2005 Hummer is on the market to be sold according to Fox Boston on Thursday night.

The news outlet revealed that the Hummer only has 36,000 miles on it and it was discovered in a used car lot in Wrentham. Its vehicle identification number was run on Carfax and proved to be Hernandez's.

Did Aaron Hernandez's Fiancée Known About Odin Lloyd's Death?

Hernandez purchased it in May 2013 and had it shipped to North Attleboro and court documents further prove it belonged to him.

Police seized the Hummer in June 2013 and a loaded .45 caliber Glock magazine was found in its center console, but it was returned to Hernandez before the Lloyd murder trial began since the judge refused to accept it into evidence.

The news outlet asked Boston-based lawyer Douglas Sheff who represents Lloyd's mother Ursula Ward about the Hummer being up for sale, which seemed to lead to another possible theory.

Hernandez has quite a few civil lawsuits against him, including from Lloyd's family and perhaps whoever is selling the Hummer for Hernandez is trying to protect and hide his assets.

The lawyer for Lloyd's mom wants the civil suits restarted now that the murder trial of Lloyd is over with so Hernandez can be prevented from selling anything else.

The former NFL star is also facing another murder trial, well, it's a double-murder, but that will cost money too.
