Ellen DeGeneres has made several attempts in the past to get her tight-lipped guest Taylor Swift to open up about her ex-boyfriends.

So for Swift's latest guest appearance, DeGeneres went another route and decided to make a game show out of her probe.

Since Taylor tends not to answer questions about her relationships, DeGeneres gave her a cowbell and showed Taylor pictures in a slideshow of suspected ex-boyfriends.

The talk show host then asked Taylor to ring the bell to identify which ex Taylor wrote the song about for her hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

DeGeneres' cheeky game of "Which celebrity boyfriend is this song about?" mortified the 22-year-old. Taylor was embarrassed by the pictures of all of the men she was romantically linked to.

When photos of Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher appeared, Taylor flat out denied dating them. But when pictures appeared of Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, Cory Monteith and John Mayer, Swift appeared very uncomfortable. Taylor then placed the bell into her lap to kindly decline playing the game, so DeGeneres grabbed the bell and rang it for her.

"Stop it, stop it, stop!" Taylor screamed. "This makes me feel so bad about myself. Every time I come up here you put a different dude up on the screen. It just makes me really question what I stand for as a human being. There's never been two guys on the screen two visits in a row. It's sad."

"I don't know if I can do this, this is the one thing I have! This is like the one shred of dignity that I have," Swift said, clearly embarrassed. "I don't want to! I don't want to. Because they'll send me angry emails and I don't want to get them!" she added.

Swift, 22, last appeared on "Ellen" with her "Lorax" co-star Zac Efron, 25. When asked about Efron, Taylor said they were never together.

"There's nothing really about Zac on the CD ... because we didn't date," the singer told DeGeneres, who then asks her to reveal whom the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is about.

Taylor Swift's new album, "Red," has been topping the Billboard charts since its release on Oct. 21. It is expected to sell 1 million records in its first week.

The "Ellen" episode airs on Thursday, Oct. 25.
