He plays a father on the small screen, but is he ready for fatherhood in real life as well? That's the rumor as a new report says that Mad Men's Jon Hamm and his girlfriend of 16 years Jennifer Westfeldt are finally ready to start a family together.

According to OK! Magazine on Friday, now that Hamm is reportedly sober and no longer dealing with alcohol abuse, he and Westfeldt are ready to become parents as they prepare for a new baby in their life.

"It's a total U-turn for both of them," a source close to the couple revealed. "But they're already shopping around for a bigger house and are actively trying for a baby."

But even with a new baby in their lives, Hamm supposedly still insists that he doesn't want to get married to Westfeldt, even though they've been together for almost two decades now.

Still, friends of the couple think that Hamm might change his mind the moment he welcomes his first child into the world.

The insider explained, "All their friends are waiting for baby news any day now and think if anyone can change their minds about marriage, it's a mini-Hamm."

Let's just hope Hamm doesn't take any parenting tips from his on-screen alter ego, Don Draper from the hit series, Mad Men, as he neglected his own children one too many times on the show.
