While there has been no word about any replacements for Archie Panjabi on The Good Wife in season 7, we're quite certain that a new character will be written up for the next chapter.

It could also be that Jess Weixler, who plays Robyn Burdine will step it up as the prime detective in the CBS series. But Weixler had been missing for a major part of season 6.

But in a previous interview, the creators Michelle and Robert King had assured fans that Robyn was very much in the house, and she had not been appearing on the show as Weixler was away auditioning for something else in Los Angeles.

Season 7 To Conclude CBS Legal Drama?

TVLine got the creators Michelle and Robert King to address the issue at the PaleyFest. "They never let her out," Robert said. "The secret obviously is that Jess Weixler is in L.A. and going out on auditions," he added. "We didn't want to lose her or kill her off because we love the actress so much."

He went on to explain how she was important to the show and they hoped to have her back on soon.

"Whenever or if Robyn can come out of that office she's in that we never see, just like those decks on Star Trek that you never see, she'll be right back in the thick of things," he said. "We're big fans. It all comes down to what Mark Saks, our casting director, can get/make happen."

In April, there was also news of another actress joining the show for season 7. E! Online reported that Cush Jumbo will have a recurring role on the legal drama, but nothing has been revealed about her character yet. In the past the actress has worked on Getting On and Torchwood, and also co-starred with Hugh Jackman in the Broadway adaptation of The River.

We wonder if the actress will be coming on board to make up for Panjabi's loss.

The finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
