The Forrester staff has been trying to convince Eric (John McCook) for months that Rick (Jacob Young) needed to be removed as CEO, and now, following the recent turn of events with both he and Maya (Karla Mosley), Eric may finally make the shocking decision to remove his son from the top position on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Brooke Encourages Rick To Leave Maya in The Past

Everyone finally learned the truth about Maya being transgender, including, unfortunately, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) who published the story in all of his magazines. Since then, Maya has fled, and Rick got into a car accident while chasing after her. To make matters worse however, when Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) confronted him about possibly treating Maya poorly after learning the truth, he lunged at his older brother.

Now, after learning about the attack, Eric will take matters into his own hands and confront his youngest son about his recent behaviors--a troubling sign that he is on a downward spiral.

Maya Makes A Painful Decision About Her Future

"I'm worried about you Rick," Eric says to him in a preview clip for the Friday, May 22 episode.

Rick will continue to defend himself however, maintaining that Ridge is responsible for the attack he made on him. But Eric may finally be finished with hearing what his son has to say for himself--and could finally open his eyes and listen to what everyone has been telling him to do for months--and remove Rick as CEO.

"I have a responsibility as the founder of this company to step in and to change the course that you've set," he says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
