Playing a couple onscreen can have its challenges, but the biggest for Robert Pattison was having vampire sex with actress Kristen Stewart.

During an interview with E! News last week, Pattinson was first asked what daily activity he could do in peace. The actor responded understandably: "Go around castrating paparazzi."

Pattinson and Stewart are used to being relentlessly hounded by the paparazzi, especially during their very public break-up.

Photos taken by the paparazzi showing the 22-year-old actress with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders fueled the fire that split the "Twilight" couple until they recently made amends.

The biggest topic of the interview was Pattinson's vampire love scene with Stewart.

"It was weird, we shot the love scenes for the last one and this one at basically the same time, so it was very confusing," Pattinson said.

The 26-year-old actor said it was awkward during the shoot having to go from "gentle" in some takes and "mind-blowing" in the next.

"Vampire sex is supposed to be the greatest sex in the world, and then everyone turns up on set and they're like, 'OK, well, uh, what's your thing?' It's, like, completely crazy!"

Pattinson commented on getting into the "Twilight" franchise, saying Stewart was an influence to get him onto the project.

"It's one of the reasons I signed onto it in the first place," said Pattinson. "It seemed like it wasn't going to be a typical teen movie. I guess I was pretty pretentious even then, even when I was unemployed. It was my first American movie, so I didn't want to take the wrong step."

"Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" premieres nationwide on Nov. 16, with select theaters to hold "Twilight" marathons on Nov. 15 where attendees will have the chance to watch the entire saga back-to-back.
