Singer and reality star K. Michelle has addressed rumors that she and rapper Safaree Samuels are hip hop’s newest it couple.

Fans first got to know Samuels as Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend. The two dated for nearly 15 years before calling it quits last year. Since then, rumors have sparked that he moved on with K. Michelle.

K. Michelle spoke with Hip Hollywood at the BEING premiere earlier this week and said their friendship is being blown out of proportion.

“They’re overreacting. Absolutely! We do not sleep together, kiss each other, hold each other, any of that. That is absolutely my friend. I am not dating Safaree.”

Still, she went on to say that they are pretty close.

“He actually prays for me. I think that’s a good thing.”

Either way it doesn’t look like Samuels has much of a chance at the moment.

“But no, we’re not a couple. I only date Caucasian, British men at this point.”

Rumors first sparked that K. Michelle and Samuels had a romance going on after she danced to his first single "Burner" way back in January. He went on to repost it on his own Instagram. But things started to get even more intense when he sent her her favorite flowers, daffodils, after she got surgery. As for K. Michelle, she has been linked to NBA star Lance Stephenson and actress Idris Elba in the past.

Maybe there’s hope that she and Samuels will be more than friends in the future.
