The explanation that she was Ava's (Maura West) long lost twin sister seems to have appeased everyone else in Port Charles--but Silas (Michael Easton) is certainly not buying the story that has been provided for Denise on General Hospital.

Silas Returns To Port Charles

After everyone assumed she was Ava in a poor disguise, a DNA test was given to determine if she was telling the truth, with the results coming back stating she was a close, but not exact, match for Ava's DNA. Delia (Ilene Kristen), Ava's mother, then showed up and explained she had twins when Ava was born and had never told anyone until now that the other baby was Denise. Since then, Denise has been acquainting herself with the other members of the Jerome family she never knew she had.

However, after arriving back in town and getting the whole story from Kiki (Hayley Erin), Silas remembered giving Ava the drugs that she asked him to use so she could die--and decided to check out the new woman in town to see if she was actually the woman he once loved. And as soon as he saw her, he determined she really was Ava, and that Denise is a phony alibi Delia concocted so she wouldn't have to reveal that she actually knew her daughter hadn't died when she fell off the bridge.

Delia Sheds Some Light On Denise's Identity

"You are Ava with a phony accent and a bad dye job," he says to Denise in a preview clip for the Wednesday, June 3 episode.

Now, if Denise is genuinely Ava, she will need to explain to Silas what she's trying to do, and if she is actually her own separate person, she will once again be forced to defend herself against accusations that she is the departed mobstress.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
