It looks as though the Duggar family still has their supporters, even though millions of fans are urging the TLC network to drop their reality television show, 19 Kids & Counting, after the news dropped that Josh Duggar has a history of sexually molesting girls. Now, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee - who is a Duggar supporter - has fueled even more fire to the scandal.

Even though Huckabee has urged fans to forgive Josh after a report came out saying that he sexually abused five young girls when he was a teenager back in 2002, he apparently also said that there is "something inherently wrong about forcing little children to be a part of the transgender social experiment." The irony of this of course is that Josh's mother Michelle said in a robocall last year that the transgender community is a threat to young children, despite the fact that her own son had molested young girls in the past, too.

According to Buzzfeed on Wednesday, Huckabee made his controversial comments at the 2015 National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville.

He said, "For those who do not think that we are under threat, simply recognize that the fact that we are now in city after city watching ordinances say that your 7-year-old daughter, if she goes into the restroom cannot be offended and you can't be offended if she's greeted there by a 42-year-old man who feels more like a woman than he does a man."

Fans of course are scratching their heads over this, since Huckabee has no issues standing by Josh Duggar, who might have even allegedly molested his own sisters, yet so openly attacks the transgender community.

Fans are wondering if transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, will join the conversation. Caitlyn recently came out as a transgender woman on this month's issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Huckabee added, "there is something inherently wrong about forcing little children to be a part of this social experiment. I'm not against anybody. I'd just like for somebody to bring their brain to work some day and not leave it on the bed stand when they show up to govern."
