With a number of major media outlets declaring President Barack Obama winner of the Presidential Election 2012, according to their projections, millions are awaiting Obama’s acceptance speech. A live stream of the speech can be seen via the link at the bottom of this article, although as votes are still being counted in numerous states, and Republican candidate Mitt Romney has not yet conceded defeat, it may be a while until the speech is given. Obama Presidential Victory Speech Video, Transcript [Full Text]

Right wing and left wing media outlets, such as CNN and Fox News have declared Obama victor by their independent projections. But with numerous swing states too tight to call the Romney camp were still waiting to get confirmation from those polls before conceding.

At 00.45 p.m. ET President Obama was projected by CNN to have confirmed 303 Electoral College Votes, and Romney only managing to gain 203 Electoral College Votes.

In Florida, Obama had 50 percent compared to 49 percent for Romney, with 92 percent of votes counted. With more than 8 million votes counted Obama had gained 4,030,055 votes compared to Romney’s 3,976,274 votes.

In Ohio, Obama was also marginally ahead with 50 percent compared to Romney’s 49 percent of the vote. Romney had 2,474,084 votes compared to Obama’s 2,521,494 votes.

It is believed that as the polls come closer to closing, Mitt Romney will imminently make a speech to his supporters conceding the election to Obama. Romney’s concession speech will be shown via the link below when it is made, as will Obama’s presidential acceptance speech.
