It seems as though Jennifer Aniston's Hollywood career isn't going as planned. The former Friends star failed to secure a Hollywood nomination for her role in the film, "Cake" last year and now there are new reports that say she is having a hard time finding work after she decided to ditch her title as Queen of the rom-coms.

According to OK! Magazine on Monday, Aniston wants to take on more emotional-heavy roles, but unfortunately no one is taking her talent seriously.

A source told the site, "Jen narrowly missed out on an Oscar nomination for Cake, so she's desperate to land the lead in another drama. Only problem? She's not exactly getting a ton of offers."

What's more, Aniston made it her personal goal to win an Oscar by next year, but without getting the right role, it looks like that might not happen.

"She wants to be on that podium next awards season," the source added.

Meanwhile, it seems like Aniston wants to become a celebrity author.

According to Closer Weekly on Friday, the 45-year-old beauty said she was inspired to write the cookbook in order to give her fans her secrets on healthy food options.

"I would like to do a lifestyle thing, for people who struggle with dieting. I could just make anything for a diet taste delicious. I'm a good alchemist... I can mix certain things together that are all very healthy, but you don't feel like you're depriving yourself in any way... I'm working on [a cookbook]!" the Cake star said.
