Porn might be going to a place its never gone before - space!

Popular pornography site Pornhub is hoping to receive funding for a project that would allow a sextape to be shot entirely in space. The site launched an Indiegogo campaign on Wednesday as they are hoping to raise $3.4 million for the project.

"Without great explorers and adventurers, the world as we know it would be a completely different place," the campaign page begins. It then delves into some of the great explorers in history and how the company could be making their own version of history with this project.

The "Sexploration," as they call it, is projected to launch in late 2016 and the $3.4 million goal will be put to practical use.

"We need to train and outfit our crew, consult with a dedicated team of specialists, purchase custom modified film equipment, and completely fund the use of the shuttle that'll take us on our journey to space," the page says.

"Where is the $3.4 million dollars going? The vast majority, of 60%, of our costs will be absorbed by what goes in to making the flight happen," it continues. "This includes training and space suits for our crew as well as general space travel. 21% of the funds needed is mostly related to the actual production of the film for things like specially adapted gear as well as the overall general costs [affiliated] with the creation of a high quality sex tape. Because space travel of any kinds comes with its unique risks despite careful planning and every precaution being taken, we also want to pay our talent fairly. The rest will help take care of getting the perks out to our funders, covering our insurance costs and paying Indiegogo their standard 4% fee."

Porn stars Eva Lovia and Johnny Sins will be the subjects of the "Sexploration."

Ultimately, Pornhub says that they are simply doing this project "for the love of science and sex."

Over $1,000 has already been pledged to "Sexploration" since its launch, with the total continuing to grow.
