While fans wait for more details on actor and rapper Bow Wow’s wedding to reality star Erica Mena, he has come under fire after a controversial post about his future wife.

Erica Mena Blasts Exes Amid Engagement To Bow Wow

The two are supposed to be getting hitched later this month (an exact date hasn’t been announced yet), and Bow Wow attempted to show love for the former Love & Hip Hop New York star via Instagram over the weekend.

He commented on a snapshot she posted with his thoughts on how Mena’s image has improved before he added the heart eyes emoji.

Even though he might have meant well, lots of fans thought his statement that he “created” Mena was out of line.

One wrote, “Honey your man thinks you’re a piece of meat.”

Another added, “Yeah, you’re right just don’t forget to give her credit for making herself better also.”

A third chimed in with, “We don’t care what you think u did…”

When a fan asked Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) to clarify his comment, he had no problem doing so. He pointed out that she has pretty much transformed since they started dating and mentioned that he is the reason why. He added that he thought it was his responsibility as a man (and challenged other men to do the same) to make his woman “unreachable.”

He ended his mini rant by saying that he’s seen potential in Mena all along; and that fans are just late in catching up.
