In a new clip for the upcoming AMC companion series to the ratings juggernaut The Walking Dead, the onslaught of people continuing to go missing appears to cause strife in the L.A. area, as many wonder what exactly is going on.

The short clip, only 10 seconds long, strings together three different, seemingly unrelated scenes--all of which seem to spell out the impending doom that is about to overtake not only Los Angeles--but the rest of the world.

'FTWD' Will 'Contain Clues' To Mysteries From 'TWD'

Things begin as a car drives past a wall featuring three posters of a missing person whose family is looking for him. The clip then slowly goes to a scene showing Madison (Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis) as they drive past the scene, with pensive looks on their faces.

The scene then cuts to them driving past a park, as a lone dark figure stands in the distance. However, it could be the potential first look at a walker that those in L.A. could glimpse as the outbreak slowly gets its start, because the figure appears a bit disheveled.

Meanwhile, AMC debuted another new poster which confirmed the series' premiere date, and seems to hint that the outbreak may begin at a beach, with the tagline "Fear begins here." What may be a walker's footprints are then dragging across the sand, towards a pier.

Fear The Walking Dead premieres this August on AMC.
