The newest season of Rookie Blue is in full swing and fans will quickly learn that everything is not picture perfect with Divison 15.

Tassie Cameron, executive producer and creator, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter recently and revealed that while Sam and Andy finally got to a good place, they’ll have countless obstacles in front of them as his ex-girlfriend, Marlo, is pregnant with his child.

“Andy and Sam have worked so hard to get to a place of honesty, strength and communication; we’ve been following that journey since the beginning,” Cameron said.

She added that this will be a true test of just how strong their relationship is, but they will definitely get through it.

“If there’s a moment where they can weather the storm, it’s now. That’s not to say it’s going to be easy, but Andy is a very idealistic person. She’s a good person, Sam’s a good persona nd they worked very, very hard to be together. I don’t think either one of them is going to just throw that away.”

Cameron also said that the couple needed a bit of conflict to keep them interesting.

As for Marlo, she’s set to shock the viewers even more than she already has.

“[She] has serious issues and she’s dealing with them with ropes of grace. She put the division in danger in season four, but again, I’m hoping that Marlo ends up being somebody that the viewers appreciate if not love.”
