Was the reason for Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn's breakup due to the golfer having an affair?

Reporters Ask Lindsey Vonn About Tiger Woods Amid Breakup

That's been the latest rumor ever since The National Enquirer posted a story claiming that Woods cheated on Vonn with Amanda Boyd, the former wife of golfer Jason Dufner. The report states that Woods and Boyd have "been having a steamy affair for several months. When Lindsay found out about their affair in the early spring, she hit the roof and kicked Tiger to the curb!"

On Thursday, E! News discovered the truth of this rumor and it turns out that it is entirely made up.

Pro Golfer Says 'There's Too Much Going On' For Tiger Woods

Woods' agent Mark Steinberg told the site, "There is absolutely zero truth to the unfounded rumor. It is wholly false."

The iconic golf star has been having some rough tournaments lately where his scores were pretty terrible and he even had trouble swinging the club. This led into constant reports on what Woods could be going through and if it has anything to do with his love life.

Whatever it may be, there is only so much that people can do, according to pro golfer Mark O'Meara. Based on a report from Golf Digest, O'Meara mentioned that it's up to Woods to ask for help is he chooses to do so.

"I can only push the envelope so far [in reaching out]. You can't help somebody unless they ask," O'Meara said. "I love the kid. I love and respect him, and he's made a big difference in my life."
