According to reports, Simpson's mother, Angie, is in talks to appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season six, and producers want Simpson to make appearances, as well.

"Cody Simpson is getting dragged into his mom’s reality TV dreams, 'cause 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' wants Angie Simpson on the show ... as a package deal with Cody," TMZ reported on Tuesday. "We’re told Angie's still in talks because producers want to make sure Cody can come on too. They think the Australian pop star would help draw a younger audience."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is in need of at least one new housewife, as both Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards have reportedly been fired from their full-time roles on the show, and Angie would be perfect since she's already tied to the cast because of Simpson's recently-ended relationship with Yolanda Foster's daugther, Gigi Hadid.

"The show wants to work up a dynamic between Angie and Yolanda Foster ... Gigi Hadid’s mom. The hope is they might play matchmaker and try to get Cody and Gigi back together," TMZ continued.

Simpson and Hadid's breakup was announced in May by Hadid's rep.

"Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career," Hadid's rep told PEOPLE Magazine. "They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future."
