Trina Braxton is trying something new in her most recent dating adventures as she goes through divorce proceedings with her estranged husband on WeTV’s Braxton Family Values.

Nothing Will Be The Same Between The Braxton Sisters After Tonight’s Episode Of ‘BFV’

In a deleted scene of the show, Braxton and her sister Towanda dish on her new beau and the fact that he’s probably the first African American guy she’s ever dated. As Towanda puts it, she’s now batting for “Team Chocolate.”

Trina has found a little relief in the midst of her messy split with Gabe Solis. In previous episodes of this season, he has reportedly tried to mess up her credit, forced her and her two sons out of the home they shared together and other alleged underhanded things.

Towanda seems to be happy that her sister is getting back out there and even made up a song in which she sang, “Trina… Loves chocolate.”

“Welcome Trina!” she exclaimed.

It’s definitely a change to see Trina laugh and smile about her dating life. In an episode that aired a couple of weeks ago, she had a breakdown while she and Towanda, Traci and Tamar were enjoying a girls night out at a bowling alley. She couldn’t help but cry and wonder if she was doing the right thing by calling it quits with Solis once and for all. Trina had filed for divorce multiple times in the past, but this time she went all the way. Their divorce became final earlier this year.
