Giuliana Rancic Quit: 'E! News' Anchor's Final Episode Will Air In August 2015, Despite Contact Renewal [VIDEO]
Giuliana Rancic has quit her job as an E! News anchor.
Although the cancer survivor will continue on with the E! Network, starring in Fashion Police and appearing on episodes of Live from the Red Carpet, Rancic announced yesterday that she will be putting an end to her entertainment news reporting next month.
“For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show,” Rancic said on Wednesday, according to a report by Radar Online.
Rancic went on to reveal she will be focusing on other "personal business endeavors," including her wine and clothing line, and will also be producing a new show for the Oxygen Network called Rich in Faith.
“This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life," Rancic explained.
In a statement, E! Network's general manager, Adam Stosky, said Rancic “played an instrumental role in building E! News into a global entertainment news powerhouse,” and added that he’s “delighted” she will continue on with her other E! Network gigs.
In May of last year, via Deadline, Rancic renewed her contract, and was supposed to remain on E! News until April 2016.
Rancic's final appearance on E! News will air on Aug. 10.
