Kim Richards opened up about her recent struggles with sobriety during an interview on Wednesday night.

Days after leaving rehab, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star spoke out for the first time since leaving rehab, claiming her April 16 arrest for public intoxication and battery on an officer was her "Aha" moment.

"I love sobriety," Richards told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. "I've always loved sobriety, and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy. I have to say, don't take this wrong, but I really wanted to go to treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home."

In addition to stress on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards was dealing with an ill ex-husband, as well as other drama amongst family members.

"Monty, my ex-husband, is very sick and my son wasn't well, and I had to give away my dog, and I wasn't talking to my sister [Kyle]," she revealed.

"Actually, my arrest was my 'Aha, I get to go away now and rest and take a break from all this,'" Richards continued. "I don't want anybody to take this wrong, but I truly needed a break from hospitals, family, the pressure. I needed to go away."

As for her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which has been widely reported, Richards claimed Bravo has, in fact, asked her back.

"My representative did speak to them," Richards said of the network. "They have asked me to come back."
