Kandi Burruss & Todd Tucker of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta are gearing up for welcoming their first child together but they both took a moment to remember his mother, Miss Sharon, who passed away last year.

The couple recognized what would have been Miss Sharon’s 70th birthday Tuesday. She brought special flowers and a “happy birthday” balloon to her gravesite that reads, “A loving mother and the life of the party.”

The reality star added in the caption that Miss Sharon would be ecstatic on the news of her and Tucker expecting. Burruss has 12-year-old daughter Riley from a previous relationship while Tucker is father to Kaela.

Tucker also shared a thoughtful collage that included a photo of him and Miss Sharon as well as another of him posing by her gravesite. He noted in the caption, “I know you’re turning up in heaven! Thanks for being with me today in my big meeting. I’ll continue to make you proud!!”

Many fans commented and sent their thoughts, prayers and condolences for Tucker and Burruss.

Miss Sharon died on Dec. 2, 2014 after complications following a stroke.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans met Miss Sharon when Burruss and Tucker were starting to get pretty serious. They really got to know her when the two, who tied the knot on April 4, 2014 had their own wedding spinoff called Kandi’s Wedding. It documented their journey to the altar as Burruss has said she and Miss Sharon have always had a very special connection with one another.
