It appears fans will have to keep waiting for answers about when Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland will be hitting theaters.

Alan Ritchson Updates Fans On 'BMS' The Movie

According to the film's stars, the film appears to be getting held up by its distributor, Lionsgate-though no explanation has been given as to why, and they themselves don't even know anything about the film's potential release date or a trailer coming soon.

Alan Ritchson, who portrays Thad Castle in the film, took to Twitter recently to address fan comments on the lack of a trailer or any other real information about the long-delayed film. In his comments, Ritchson strongly suggested that Lionsgate were the ones responsible for the film still being held up.

Was 'BMS' The Movie Too Crude For An R Rating?

"Can u answer @lionsgatemovies? I'd love to know roo," he wrote initially alongside a re-tweet of a fan asking why there was no trailer.

"Hey, @josefa_joe we delivered an absolutely crazy movie to @lionsgatemovies months ago,. They aren't with it. It's theirs and they're silrnt," he later added. He also seemed to hint that lionsgate was too busy punishing him for an older video he posted online where he channeled his character as part of a joke

"Guess @lionsgatemovies can't cut a trailer for @BMSTheMovie cuz they r too busy filing copyright claims against this," he added alongside a link of the video.

Ritchson isn't the only cast member to address the long wait on Twitter however, as Darin Brooks (Alex) and Romanski (Sammy) also took to their accounts to answer questions and address the controversy behind the film not yet being out.

"Hopefully we'll know soon and trust me...I will let EVERYONE know when I do! #GoGoats," Brooks said.

""Hello BMS fans, we r still waiting on Lionsgate to give us information. You guys will know when we do. The wait is killing me too! Love u," Romanski added.
